On the 5-6th of March REC hosted a delegation from Ei Ltd from Japan. This is a trade association consisting of representatives of construction companies, contractors and architects. To increase the knowledge of passive houses and plus energy houses, the group visited the first plus energy house in Sweden “Villa Åkarp” north of Malmö.

A visit was also made at Skanskas construction site of Passive house “Strandkanten” in Ellös.

The Group also made a visit to the Temovex facility in Helsingborg to see the production of Temovex units.

One of the topics on the agenda was the latest development of energy efficient construction in Sweden, but the main focus was on the possibilities for REC business relations in Japan. The Japanese market is showing more and more interest in production of energy efficient houses and passive houses in particular. Hopefully this will increase the sales and business possibilities for Temovex in Japan.

The group also made a short stop in Alingsås to visit the ”Passive house center” .

REC has since 2006 a partnership with NPO Sotodan EI, Ltd in Japan, an Association consisting of 100 construction companies, contractors and architects. The Association is working to introduce the Swedish passive house technology in Japan and has built houses for senior residents in Nagano with REC as a supplier of Temovex RT 1000S.
